If you are following along with me on my journey, then you know I went through both physical, and emotional healing for many years after being diagnosed with allergies. You can read more about my journey here. I had to heal from the inside out. I had to find healing and peace.
Full transparency, I am a very private person, and don’t like to draw attention to myself, or share much about my personal trials. Right now, in my heart, I know I need to open up about this. I don’t want you to struggle, or feel lost, and alone like I did. Please don’t give up. I want you to heal!
Emotional Healing
I did many things to heal emotionally. I surrounded myself with a supportive group of family, and friends, started doing yoga, took long walks outside, and sought out expert help from a counselor. All of these had a tremendous impact on my emotional healing.
What I needed even more
The single most important thing I did for healing was reconnecting with God and focusing on my spiritual well-being. I am a Christian and believer in God and have been since I was a child. Somehow in the midst of all this pain and frustration, I lost my connection with God and became selfish, mean-spirited, negative, and just not pleasant to be around.
The power of prayer
Once I got back to praying, and seeking God things just seemed to get better. I devoted time to daily devotionals and praying daily for myself and anyone and everyone I thought needed prayer. I joined several Bible study groups, and learned how to reconnect myself with God and with others in ways I never had before. I was finally at peace with everything.
What I want for you
I want you to experience this same peace. So if you are struggling right now, leave me a comment and let me know how I can help. And please, let’s stay connected. You can find me on Instagram and Facebook, or connect with me via email. Let’s all continue to find healing and peace together.
Daily Devotionals I love
I have used many different devotionals during my healing journey. Sometimes it’s difficult to know where to start, so here are a few of my favorites. The Prayer Journal for Women, and Jesus Calling.
